Wendy A. Owens

Wendy A. OwensMs. Owens was born in Norfolk, Virginia. She attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in English and Political Science. While attending undergraduate school, Ms. Owens spent a semester aboard in London, achieved President’s List and volunteered with both the Virginia Beach SPCA and the Wildlife Center of Virginia. She was also a member of the following organizations: Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, Golden Key National Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society, and Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. Ms. Owens attended Tulane Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. During law school, Ms. Owens served as a staff clerk for the New Orleans District Attorney’s Office, and volunteered with the New Orleans chapter of CASA and the Family Legal Advice Clinic.

Prior to founding The Law Office of Wendy A. Owens, P.C., Ms. Owens practiced real estate law with the law firms of Hunter, Maclean, Exley & Dunn and Morris, Schneider & Prior. While at Morris, Schneider & Prior, Ms. Owens helped develop and manage the mobile home title clearance team which handling the clearing of mobile home titles in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, West Virginia and Virginia.

Ms. Owens has acted as a presenter for the topic Manufactured Homes/Land Contracts/Easements at the Fidelity National Default Solutions Title Symposium presented for AMC Mortgage Services on June 22, 2005. Ms. Owens served as a panelist for Mobile Assets: Hidden Liabilities at the REO 5-Star Conference held on September 16, 2006. She also served as a guest lecturer for the Lorman CLE series in 2006.

Ms. Owens is a member of the Real Property Division of the North Carolina State Bar and the Real Property Division of the Georgia Bar. She is also a member of the Savannah Chapter of GAWL.

Ms. Owens serves on the boards of the Savannah Chapter of CASA and Coastal Pet Rescue and is co-founder of GreenSavannah.org.
